Justin Bieber will drop his highly anticipated brand-new album Believe on Tuesday, and he's hooking up with MTV to celebrate the big release. The pop sensation will catch up with MTV News the day the album drops for the 30-minute special "Bieber Live."

Bieber will sit down with MTV News' Sway Calloway — not to mention 100 fans who will be in the studio and get treated to a live performance.

It'll all go down at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. As if that weren't enough pop awesomeness for you, immediately following all the Bieber antics, Katy Perry's new music video for "Wide Awake" will have its world premiere at 7:53 p.m. ET/PT. She'll also be sitting down with Sway during "MTV First: Katy Perry" to chat about the video and her 3-D movie, "Katy Perry: Part of Me."

During "Bieber Live," in addition to chilling with Sway and performing, the singer will also answer fan questions in studio and via Twitter (tweet @MTVNews with the hashtag #AskBieber).

Bieber's MTV visit Tuesday is just the latest on his worldwide promotional schedule for his album release. He's already caused a stir in Norway, Paris and Mexico City, among other stops, as he spreads the gospel of Believe. He's set to go on an official Believe Tour this September, and the jaunt is already sold-out.

For Believe, Bieber hooked up with a number of A-listers, including Drake, Big Sean, Ludacris and Nicki Minaj. On the production end, he also got some of the finest in the business, including Max Martin, Rodney Jerkins and even '90s ballad master Babyface. He'll talk all about it Tuesday during MTV's "Bieber Live."

Don't miss "Bieber Live" on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, followed by "MTV First: Katy Perry" at 7:53 p.m., when Katy will debut her "Wide Awake" music video.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" Takes Over In This Week's US Pop Music Charts

Last fall Carly Rae Jepsen went to #1 on the pop singles chart in her native Canada with the ultra-catchy "Call Me Maybe." The song was first released as a digital download in the US back in February. It climbed the charts slowly at first, but then with a big boost from Justin Bieber, the protege has outdone her supporter. Justin Bieber has not yet had a #1 hit single, but Carly Rae Jepsen climbs all the way to the top with her first hit. Elsewhere Adele returns for one more round at the top of the album chart. Check the details in this week's coverage of the US pop music charts.

Watch the Grammy Awards A Death In the Family Documentary On the Hours After Whitney Houston's Death

Earlier this year just hours before the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party and a day before the 54th Grammy Awards, the news was announced that Whitney Houston had died. It set off a phenomenal chain of events as the music industry struggled to respond appropriately to the shattering news while still carry out the planned events and ceremonies. Now the Recording Academy has released a short documentary detailing the events with never seen footage of rehearsals and interviews with major figures in the music industry. It debuted last night at a special presentation in North Hollywood, California. You can watch it via the link before. This is an unusual glimpse into the inner workings of the US music industry.

Chris Brown Talks To Police In Drake Fight Investigation

Breezy's lawyer turned over 'physical evidence' that allegedly implicates Drake.

We may never know exactly what sparked the bottle-flying melee between Chris Brown and Drake at New York nightclub W.i.P.
on Wednesday night, but police will definitely get at least one side of the story.

According to TMZ, Brown has given a statement to NYPD investigators about the scuffle that left him with a gash on his chin and seriously injured one of his bodyguards, Big Pat. Unnamed law enforcement sources told the site that Brown's celebrity lawyer, Mark Geragos, has handed over unspecified "physical evidence" that allegedly implicates Drake in the fight.

One of the rappers hanging with Drake that night, Meek Mill, has denied reports that he set the fight off by tossing a bottle at Brown's group. Drake has also said he had nothing to do with the melee, issuing a statement on Thursday that read, "Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. [Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."

TMZ added that Geragos presented evidence to the NYPD on Thursday that allegedly showed that Drake and Meek were the aggressors, just hours after Breezy spoke to cops. Police say neither Brown nor Drake are currently suspects in the case and that Brown is being treated as a "witness and a victim." And while Drake has reportedly been "cooperating" with investigators and his representatives have had conversations with police, it was unclear at press time if the rapper had been involved in any direct talks with detectives.

Citing unnamed sources, TMZ claimed that the instigator may have been someone in Brown's camp who was "inciting Drake and his people all night."

Another video shows footage of Chris Brown and Mill leaving the club. Meek was spotted walking down the sidewalk, while Brown takes off his shirt before getting into a black SUV. Drake is also in the clip, but he is partially hidden in the crowd. Trey Songz was also filmed walking out of the club. The video, posted by We Mobbin DVD, implies that more footage will soon find its way online, for a price, including footage of the actual fight.

A bystander who was injured in the incident, 24-year-old Australian tourist Hollie C., has filed a police report after getting hit in the head by a bottle.

She sustained a gash that required 16 stitches and on Thursday she posted a video in which she lashed out at the perpetrators. "I went out last night with my friends to a place called W.i.P. and I've spent most of the night and morning in hospital ... the reason why I have 16 stitches on my head, my face is because of some stupid famous people having a fight over a girl. Where's the justice in them walking away, driving away in a limo while I have to catch a train home on one of my holidays?"

Drake Vows To Outdo Summer Jam At New York Show

'They f---ed up Summer Jam, so I'm just gonna do Summer Jam how it's supposed to go,' Drizzy tells Scoob Doo about Club Paradise Tour stop.

Drake and Nicki Minaj have been making controversial headlines following a club brawl and a canceled Summer Jam performance, respectively, but when Drake's Club Paradise Tour touches down in New York on Saturday, Team YMCMB will be back in full force, minus the controversy.

On Wednesday night, Drake visited Sin City Cabaret in the Bronx, New York, for Maybach Music Group's Self Made Vol. 2 listening session, after which he revealed exclusively to DJ Scoob Doo's new website BreadOverBed that he had a few surprises in store for his New York show.

"They f---ed up Summer Jam, so I'm just gonna do Summer Jam how it's supposed to go," Drake told Scoob, referencing Lil Wayne's decision to pull Young Money out of the show's lineup after offensive remarks were directed toward Nicki Minaj. "I've got everyone you would want to see, plus people that you wouldn't expect to see."

Thus far, Drake's tour roster includes Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame and French Montana, not to mention guest appearances from T.I., Rick Ross and Future, so it seems likely that additional members from his YMCMB family will join him on the bill Saturday.

During a heated radio interview with Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex following her canceled Summer Jam set, Minaj promised fans that she would do a free show in New York to make up for the disappointment. Could an appearance at Drake's show be on her agenda as well? Before Minaj and crew pulled out of the lineup, Lil Wayne was rumored to be one of her guests, along with surprise appearances from Nas and Lauryn Hill.

As Drake gears up for his concert, he's still dealing with some fallout from a club brawl with Chris Brown in New York on Wednesday night, but the show must go on. Stayed tuned to MTV News and RapFix.MTV.com for continued coverage on Drake's Club Paradise Tour.
