Most US pop fans likely do not know who Cher Lloyd is. She is a teen singer and rapper who finished fourth last year on the UK's X Factor. Her first single "Swagger Jagger" has leaked online, and it makes me think of one word, which fits Cher Lloyd perfectly - audacity. The song makes it clear. If you are a hater, get out of the way, because Cher Lloyd knows who she is and that is a star in the making. Just like all of her performances on X Factor the song has the shock of being something different and almost too contrived in a way, but then it is also irresistibly catchy and by the end, it's impressive. Cher Lloyd was not happy about the leak, and she headed to Twitter to express her frustration, but she was soon back on track and determined to not let this get her down. The first Cher Lloyd album is due out in the UK September 12, 2011.
