I know that headline sounds confusing, and the story is still a little confusing to me. Coachella Festival founder and producer Paul Tollett says that this year's festival had to turn too many people away because of sold out tickets. 75,000 attended each of the three days for a total attendance of 225,000. His solution to the problem is to add an additional three day weekend to the festival and have the same artists on each weekend. This will allow an additional 225,000 fans to see essentially the same festival. The 2012 dates are April 13-15 and April 20-22. The passes for next year's show will go on sale beginning this Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. PT. More details are at the official Coachella site.
