Florence and the Machine Set For First #1 UK Pop Single With "Spectrum (Say My Name)"

Florence and the Machine are proof that a stellar live performance can indeed sell music. This past weekend Florence and the Machine received kudos for a powerful performance at the T in the Park music festival. The result is that Florence Welch is on target for her first #1 pop hit single in the UK. "Spectrum (Say My Name)" is also supported by a music video directed by famed photographer David LaChapelle and a popular remix by Calvin Harris. It is the fifth chart single from the acclaimed album Ceremonials. Florence and the Machine's only previous top 10 hit single was "You Got the Love" from the first album Lungs. Both albums have topped the album chart and are certified platinum. It was a live performance at the MTV Video Music Awards that gave Florence and the Machine their first major chart boost in the US.
