Taylor Swift Aiming For Record First Week Sales With "We're Never Ever Getting Back Together"

At first it seemed that Taylor Swift's new single "We're Never Ever Getting Back Together" would sell somewhere in the range of 400,000 to 500,000 copies in its first sales week. That would probably be enough to top digital sales for the week and is a strong opening. However, it now appears the estimates were low. Experts are now thinking it has a chance of nearing 600,000. That would place "We're Never Ever Getting Back Together" at #2 on the all-time list of opening sales weeks surpassing Justin Bieber's 521,000 copies of "Boyfriend" sold earlier this year. Taylor Swift still has a significant mountain to climb if she wants the biggest first week ever. Flo Rida sold 636,000 copies of "Right Round" in its first week back in 2009.
