It does look like a new Michael Jackson album release may be a regular thing at the holidays for some years to come. However, last year's Michael album was a bit underwhelming. If the new, just released, megamix of Michael Jackson songs from the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Immortal show is any indication, the accompanying album will be much more than a souvenir of the live performance. The songs have been re-imagined by Kevin Antunes, who is perhaps best known as musical director for Justin Timberlake. All four songs included on the megamix - "Can You Feel It," "Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough," "Billie Jean," and "Black Or White" - sound astonishingly current and contemporary. The album Immortal is being released by Epic on November 21, 2011. The stage show tour kicked off in Montreal on October 2, 2011. Michael Jackson Immortal is expected to take up permanent residence in Las Vegas in early 2013.
