2010 marks the 30th anniversary of Roadrunner Records, and as we close out the year in celebration, we're looking back on the last three decades with a little help from our friends.
Founded in 1980 in Holland to export albums from the US to Europe, it wasn't until 1986 that Roadrunner opened a New York office and began to release burgeoning bands stateside (see: King Diamond, Carnivore and Whiplash as some of the first signings). Following on from Soulfly/Cavalera Conspiracy's Max Cavalera, Machine Head's Phil Demmel, Slipknot/ Murderdolls' Joey Jordison, Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D'Antonio and Opeth frontman Mikael Akerfeldt, we're now turning it over to former Coal Chamber/ current DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara to help us recount the past by answering some quick questions survey-style.
