It amounts to little more than a montage of bits of live performances by Michael Jackson, sentimental images of people and nature, and Akon. However, at this point, it all feels a bit fitting. There is a sense of Michael Jackson slowly drifting away here with only dreamy bits of images flitting by on the screen. The spirit of so many other videos and songs is here, but the impact of this one is more fleeting than grand productions of the past. "Hold My Hand" is a good reminder of what Michael Jackson has meant to pop music, but it will not replace any of the best songs of his past. The album Michael hits stores next week.
