Nielsen BDS have released their rankings of the top radio songs and artists of 2011. In this past year pop music was dominant. The last two years country songs led the list of the most played songs of the year, Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" in 2010 and Taylor Swift's "You Belong To Me" in 2009. However, in 2011 no country songs reached the top 10 and Taylor Swift was the highest ranking artist at #7 after country artists placed in the top 5 the last three years in a row.
