Yesterday the legendary singer Aretha Franklin, also known as the "Queen of Soul," turned 70 years old. Along with the milestone birthday came the announcement that she is planning to return to recording, and the project will be led by Clive Davis, the music executive who helped engineer Aretha Franklin's big pop comeback in the 1980s. She said that in the next month, "We're going to sit together and decide what it is we're going to record." Clive Davis sat with Aretha Franklin during much of her birthday celebration Saturday night at the Helmsley Park Lane hotel in New York.
