Just as American Idol is wrapping up one of the best seasons of the show's entire 11 season run, judge Jennifer Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres, herself a former American Idol judge, that she may not return for a third season. On Ellen she said, "I don't know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they're getting more mobile, they're about to go into school... So I just don't know." The addition last year of Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as judges has been seen as playing a key role in the revitalization of the show after the departure of Simon Cowell. American Idol has also seemed to provide a huge boost to Jennifer Lopez' music career outside of the show. Last year her song "On the Floor" went to #3, her biggest hit in nine years. She is currently climbing the charts with "Dance Again." Jennifer Lopez will be embarking on a concert tour this summer with Enrique Iglesias.
