This year's Billboard Awards, scheduled to be broadcast live on May 20, 2012 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET, are shaping up to be a major all-star extravaganza. The latest additions to the list of performers are Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park, and Nelly Furtado. All except for Kelly Clarkson are planning album releases in June. They join Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Carrie Underwood, and The Wanted as previously announced peformers. Modern Family co-stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell will host. The event chooses winners based on their performance on the Billboard charts. The 2012 Billboard Awards will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
