2012 is shaping up to be a very big year for boy band The Wanted. Earlier this year they achieved a US pop breakthrough with the massive hit single "Glad You Came." Now they are on target to prove they are still one of the most popular of current UK groups with the release of the single "Chasing the Sun," one of the new songs on the North American The Wanted EP. Middle of the week numbers show that "Chasing the Sun" is on target for a #1 debut this weekend on the UK pop chart. It will be the group's third #1 single at home after "Glad You Came" and "All Time Low." The group has released two top 5 albums at home in the UK, and their most recent, Battleground, has been certified platinum. "Chasing the Sun" is also The Wanted's new single in the US and has just recently entered the top 40 at mainstream pop radio.
