Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" Takes Over In This Week's US Pop Music Charts

Last fall Carly Rae Jepsen went to #1 on the pop singles chart in her native Canada with the ultra-catchy "Call Me Maybe." The song was first released as a digital download in the US back in February. It climbed the charts slowly at first, but then with a big boost from Justin Bieber, the protege has outdone her supporter. Justin Bieber has not yet had a #1 hit single, but Carly Rae Jepsen climbs all the way to the top with her first hit. Elsewhere Adele returns for one more round at the top of the album chart.
