Trivium drummer Nick Augusto was interviewed by Rhythm Magazine following the band's recent performance at the Download Festival in the UK, and in the clip above, he talks about how to play blast beats, the insanely fast bursts of snare assault that are the foundation of death metal and grindcore. Nick knows what he's talking about, too, as he was a member of the grindcore act Maruta before joining Trivium.
