Katy Perry Goes the Remix Route To Try and Tie Michael Jackson Record

Katy Perry is currently lodged at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her single "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)." That means she has four #1 hits and a #2 from her album Teenage Dream. That is phenomenal pop chart performance by any stretch of the imagination. However, she is likely feeling slightly unfulfilled. Why? If "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" were to climb that extra notch to the top then Katy Perry would become only the second artist to score five #1s from one album. Michael Jackson first accomplished that feat with his album Bad. Unfortunately for Katy Perry, although her song now rules pop radio airplay, it is faring less well in sales where it is being held at bay by LMFAO's massive worldwide hit "Party Rock Anthem."
