Machine Head's Robb Flynn Talks Metallica With RevolverMag.com

Machine Head's Robb Flynn was interviewed for a story in the latest issue of Revolver, and some fascinating material that didn't make the cut was posted on the magazine's website.

Flynn and the band spent much of 2008 and 2009 touring as Metallica's opening act, and that was a major inspiration to Machine Head. Says the singer/guitarist, "It’s amazing to see how passionate those dudes still are about music...They’re fucking Metallica. But there were times when I’d sit there and talk to Lars [Ulrich] or [James] Hetfield and listen to them geek out on a band. Lars and I went and saw the Sword, and he’s singing every word and doing air guitar to all the right parts. I’m like, ‘You know every fucking word to the Sword’s songs?’”
